More… In 2025, the City of Framingham’s 325th Celebration Committee unveiled a Women's History Month exhibit honoring 20 individuals who have made significant contributions to the Framingham community from 1700 to 2025. The Committee is now accepting nominations for new individuals to be added to the exhibit in 2026. The chairs of the Framingham 325th Celebration Committee, the City's DEI Officer, and the leadership of the Women, Children, & Families Commission plan to select 6–8 individuals for inclusion in the 2026 exhibit. Please note that not all nominations will be accepted. Beginning in 2027, the DEI Office, in cooperation with the Women, Children, & Families Commission, will assume responsibility for the exhibit from the 325th Committee with the goal of adding 5–6 individuals each year.Less…

More… A new community band, the Framingham Blazers Band, is forming with a mission to celebrate local talent, foster connection, and build a lasting musical tradition in Framingham. Open to musicians of all skill levels, the band welcomes players of all concert and marching instruments who are eager to make music, meet fellow musicians, and contribute to Framingham’s vibrant arts scene. Rehearsals will be held locally in Framingham, making participation accessible and community-focused. The Blazers Band was first founded back in the 1960s under the direction of Mr. Paul Bordeleau with the partnership of Framingham's Parks & Recreation Department. The concert band was initially formed as a way for Framingham students to continue playing their instruments together in the summer. Musicians interested in joining The Blazers Band are encouraged to fill out the interest form.Less…
