OVERVIEW

The Community Development Department administers the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs.

The funds received through these programs make several community development and housing assistance programs and activities possible. 

PROGRAM MISSION

Federal grant funds assist Framingham's low and moderate-income residents under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

The CDBG Program's mission is to support housing renovation, social services programs, improvement to public facilities (streets, buildings, and playgrounds), administration, and economic development. The HOME program aims to rehabilitate, preserve, and develop affordable housing in Framingham.
