Framingham City Beach Rules and Regulations
RESIDENTS ONLY: Beach use is for FRAMINGHAM RESIDENTS ONLY
HOURS OF OPERATION
- As schedules permit, lifeguards will be on duty from June 19 to August 14, 2025.
- When beaches are open without lifeguards, users assume all responsibility.
YOUTH
- An adult must accompany all individuals under 18 years of age.
- Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers.
GROUPS
Groups of 10 or more people must apply for a group permit to use the beach.
ALCOHOL
No alcoholic beverages allowed on City property.
TRASH
- Follow a Carry-in / Carry-out Policy at all times.
- Trash barrels are provided for small items only and fill quickly.
SMOKING
Smoking and vaping are not allowed on the beach or in the bathhouse.
FISHING
Fishing, including nets, is not permitted.
BOATING
The sand and beach area may not be used to launch or unload boats or other vessels.
SWIM AREA
- Swim only in designated areas.
- No diving or headfirst entry into the water.
- No swimming in non-swimming zones.
NON-SWIMMERS
- Non-swimmers of any age must remain in areas where they can stand.
- May be asked to perform and pass a swim test before entering the deep end.
FLOTATION DEVICES
Use of flotation aids or swimming devices is strictly forbidden, including:
- Personal flotation devices (PFDs)
- Masks, fins, snorkels
- Floats, water wings, etc.
RESTROOMS
- Open only during staffed hours.
- Designated for one user at a time.
- Please use the restrooms to help keep our water clean.
BATHING ATTIRE
- Proper bathing attire is required and subject to staff discretion.
- No nudity allowed.
MUSIC
- Car stereos and Bluetooth speakers are not allowed.
- Please use personal listening devices.
PETS
- No dogs or pets allowed on the beach or in the bathhouse.
- Do not leave pets in vehicles.
BICYCLES
Bicycles must be left at designated bicycle stands.
BALLPLAYING
No ball playing of any kind is allowed, including:
- Frisbee
- KanJam
- Catch
- Soccer, etc.
PARKING / BEACH AREA
No grilling, cookouts, loitering, tailgating, or open fires allowed.
GENERAL REMINDERS
- Be kind to beach staff—they do not set the rules and are here for your safety.
- Repeated abuse by an individual or group will result in loss of beach privileges.
- The City of Framingham is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
