What - The Framingham Citizens Police Academy is a volunteer program for Framingham’s adult residents, concentrating on community policing, outreach, and education. The academy will expose and introduce participants to their police department and showcase the many assets and expertise that the Framingham Police possess to serve their community.
When - Thursday nights starting March 5, 2026 – May 21, 2026 from 1800 – 2100 hours (6pm-9pm). There will be NO CLASS on Thursday April 2 or 23, 2026.
Who May Apply - The academy is open to only Framingham residents and business owners who are eighteen years of age and older. Unfortunately, we cannot admit graduates from previous years.
How to Apply - Please apply via the City of Framingham website link. A very limited number of seats are available so those interested are encouraged to apply early. The registration period will close on February 18, 2026 or when the class is filled, whichever comes first. We ask that those who apply are able to make all the sessions barring sickness or emergencies.
Background Check Due to volunteer participants in the Citizens Academy being escorted visitors within non-public areas of the police department, applicants will be subject to a criminal background check.
Please Complete both the REGISTRATION and CORI ACKNOWLEDGEMENT forms.
