For ages 55+ -- BETTE DAVIS: A VULNERABLE FORTRESS -- Presented by: Frank Mandosa -- One of the most iconic actresses to come out of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Bette Davis built a solid career with an impressive resume of first-rate films from the ‘30s through the decades that followed. She also served as the first female president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. But what was underneath the tough-minded, tough-talking actress with the cold exterior? Come hear about her life and career, as recounted by presenter Frank Mandosa. Mandosa is a full-time high school English and film teacher with a lifelong love of literature and cinema. He also cohosts a cable program, Reel Life, on Stoughton Media Access Center. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Framingham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and in part by the Friends of Callahan.
