    Brown Bag Learning Series: Global Volunteers Friday, September 6, 12-1 pm Main Library, Costin Room Lois Levick became a member of Global Volunteers in 2003. She has participated in seven Global Volunteer programs. Most recently, she volunteered in Ventanilla, Peru at Sagrada Familia, a community of 800 abandoned and abused children and young adults. Program locations include Mississippi, Costa Rica, Equador, Ireland, Minnesota and Cuba. Global Volunteers is a US-based private, nonprofit international development organization that has pioneered short term international service programs (1 to 3 weeks) to enable regular people to help create, nurture and sustain the well-being of children worldwide.

    For the second year in a row, Framingham Public Schools (FPS) is hosting a Back To School Picnic which will be free and open to all Framingham Public School students, families, staff, and community partners. This gathering serves many purposes, including: welcoming families back after summer break, encouraging community connections, inspiring family engagement, and providing access to internal FPS and external Community Resources. Through generous donations from local businesses and service providers, various raffle items will be available for families to win. The more you interact and engage with the games and activities, the more raffle tickets you receive - the more chances you have to win!
