Every summer, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is proud to invite hundreds of children throughout Middlesex County to participate in our Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA). Last year, the YPSA program graduated hundreds of cadets from nearly 40 Middlesex County communities, and this year over 1,200 cadets have signed up for this fun and educational experience.
The Middlesex Youth Public Safety Academy teaches participants about the value of public safety and team building skills. Topics discussed during the week include: identifying and preventing cyber-bullying, Internet safety, water-skills, fire preparedness and prevention, self-defense and the importance of healthy food choices.
