April 6, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Lower Church, St Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01702
Please join us for a Lenten Retreat on April 6, 2019 from 9:00am- 1:00pm in our Upper Church. Our speaker will be Alexis Walkenstein, former St. Bridget’s parishioner, and her subject will be the spirituality of Archbishop Fulton Sheen. If you ever wrote ‘J.M.J.’ at the top of your school papers or watched ‘Life is Worth Living’ on television, you need no introduction to Bishop Sheen. If you haven’t had the pleasure, then come and meet him through his works and at the hands of a Sheen expert! He was the first mega-media figure in the Church, hosting a weekly TV show, watched by millions of people - Catholic and non-Catholic alike - throughout the country. Alexis Walkenstein is an Emmy-award winning journalist whose life was profoundly changed when she attended Pope St. John Paul's World Youth Day in Denver in 1993. Our Morning of Recollection will explore the Mystery of God, Human Freedom, Divine Love, Christian Marriage, Sin and Knowing Jesus. Come and deepen your Faith this Lent!
