The Story of Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was a woman of unique qualities and abilities, even though she was illiterate. She maintained an unblemished record of vigilance, legacy of sacrifice, and struggle. Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti portrays Harriet Tubman, weaving a tale of truth, pain, courage, and determination that takes the audience into Tubman’s life from slavery to escape to enlistment as a scout and spy for the Union cause during the Civil War.
