Local businesses and non-profits are also showcased.

The first lecture in this three-part series will cover the 1600 to 1700s. We will discuss the various motives for the people of England to leave their homes, overcome challenges, and establish new lives in North America. Emphasis will be placed on Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the Puritans, and interactions with Native Americans.
Presented by John Gardella – During his 25 years at Gardner High School, John Gardella taught U.S. History, Advanced Placement World History, and Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics. He also served as the History Department Chair and the Core Curriculum Leader for the district.
