DIPG is a rare pediatric cancer that is aggressive, unforgiving, inoperable, and has no known cure. In 20217, the family of Devin Suau, a six-year-old Framingham resident, was told that he had just eight months to two years to live after being diagnosed with DIPG. On Oct. 20, 2017, just shy of nine months following his DIPG diagnosis, and just one week before what would have been his 7th birthday, Devin lost his battle with DIPG. In 2020, in Devin's honor, The #WhyNotDevin Foundation to End DIPG was formed. The Foundation works to support families facing a DIPG diagnosis and bring attention to DIPG. Join Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer and Devin’s Mom Christine Soutter Suau to learn more about DIPG. Attendees will be able to pose questions during the hour via Zoom's Chat function. If you cannot attend and have questions, please email kmcfalls@framinghamma.gov with the subject line: October 18 Community Hour. A video recording of the Zoom will be available following for those who cannot attend.
