Mayor Charlie Sisitsky is pleased to announce that a revitalized weekly Framingham Farmers Market, envisioned as a community gathering place for shoppers and evening diners, will open for the season on Thursday, June 23, on the Framingham Centre Common.
The revised hours of 3pm-7pm will accommodate residents’ workday schedules. At least one food truck has indicated it will open for business at 12pm to serve lunch, as well.
The Mayor’s Office is taking on management of the Farmers Market, following two years of outstanding efforts by volunteer managers Tom Hanson and Doug Stephan.
In addition to envisioning the market as a community gathering place, the Mayor has taken steps to ensure that vendor participation is affordable by waiving all vendor fees for the 2022 season.
