*COVID-19 UPDATE*
Since Monday, 46 Residents have Tested Positive, and 33 More have Recovered from COVID-19;
Today Governor Baker Announced Vaccine Eligibility Dates For Remaining Residents and Certain Worker Groups 

  • Since Monday, 46 residents have tested positive, 33 more have recovered from COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 7,169. With 5,599 recovered and 233 fatalities, Framingham currently has 1,337 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 517 residents in quarantine.

  • Today Governor Baker announced the vaccine eligibility dates for remaining residents and certain worker groups: 

Timeline for remaining groups: 

  • March 22: Residents 60+ and certain workers 
  • April 5: Residents 55+ and residents with one certain medical condition
  • April 19: General public ages 16 years of age and older

    The State has received assurances from the federal government that an increased vaccine supply will be available soon. Depending on supply, it could take weeks for people to be notified that an appointment is available at a mass vaccination site. People can pre-register to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine. Appointments will be offered based on eligibility and available appointments nearby.
