*COVID-19 UPDATE*
Since Friday, January 22, 99 Residents have Tested Positive, 66 More have Recovered, and City Learns of One New Fatality Associated with COVID-19; 
Weekly Food Resource Guide During Current COVID-19 Surge; 
Health Department Distributes Demographic COVID-19 Data;
Reminder: Community Hour Tuesday at 5 p.m., Examining Framingham's Fiscal Picture 

  • Since Friday, January 22, 99 residents have tested positive, 66 more have recovered, and the City learns of one new fatality associated with COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 6,087. With 4,660 recovered and 201 fatalities, Framingham currently has 1,226 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 574 residents in quarantine. 
  • Weekly food resource guide during current COVID-19 surge: To better manage the food demand during the current COVID-19 surge, Framingham's Emergency Food Line's coordinators have developed a weekly guide about food availability for residents. View this week's guide in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, here.

  • The City's Department of Public Health distributes demographic COVID-19 data on all confirmed cases in Framingham since March 1, 2020: Data includes information on confirmed cases by age, gender, race/ethnicity, fatalities, nursing homes, and residential settings. Reference today's data release here.
  • Reminder - Community Hour Tuesday, January 26, at 5 p.m., examining Framingham's fiscal picture: Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer will be joined by Framingham's Chief Financial Officer Mary Ellen Kelley and Framingham Public Schools’ Executive Director of Finance and Business Operations Lincoln Lynch to discuss Framingham's fiscal picture. Attendees will be able to pose questions during the hour via Zoom's Chat function. If people cannot attend and have questions, please email kmcfalls@framinghamma.gov with the subject line: January 26 Community Hour. Click here for information on how to join.
