The plan, called for by the City Charter, is intended to represent the community’s voice and guide the municipality’s overall approach to resources, needs, assets, and opportunities to ensure that Framingham moves forward deliberately and effectively to benefit everyone.
As part of the Long-range Strategic Plan, the City outlined a general schedule of activities for the next two years to continue gathering public input and developing components of the Strategic Plan. Those activities include creating Mission, Vision, and Values statements that were not possible to work on with the proper public involvement during a year under a pandemic.
To develop the plan, the City gathered input from stakeholders:
“Framingham’s Long-range Strategic Plan is not a document that will sit on a shelf,” said Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer. “It is an ongoing opportunity and platform for working together on a plan that guides our work and vision for the City.”
