Since Friday, January 1, 57 Residents have Tested Positive, 65 More have Recovered, and City Learns of One New Fatality Associated with COVID-19; 
Health Department Distributes Demographic COVID-19 Data;
Weekly Food Resource Guide During Current COVID-19 Surge

  • Since Friday, January 1, 57 residents have tested positive, 65 more have recovered, and the City learns of one new fatality associated with COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 5,201. With 3,906 recovered and 185 fatalities, Framingham currently has 1,110 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 553 residents in quarantine. 
  • The City's Department of Public Health distributes demographic COVID-19 data on all confirmed cases in Framingham since March 1, 2020: Data includes information on confirmed cases by age, gender, race/ethnicity, fatalities, nursing homes, and residential settings. Reference today's data release here.

  • Weekly food resource guide during current COVID-19 surge: To better manage the food demand during the current COVID-19 surge, the coordinators of Framingham's Emergency Food Line have developed a weekly guide about food availability for residents.
