Since Wednesday, 69 Residents have Tested Positive, and 15 More have Recovered from COVID-19; 
Community Outreach Teams in Framingham this Weekend

  • Since Wednesday, 69 residents have tested positive, and 15 more have recovered from COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 2,899. With 2,425 recovered and 153 fatalities, Framingham currently has 321 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 196 residents in quarantine. 

  • Community Outreach Teams in Framingham this weekend to increase COVID-19 education:
    Anticipated Schedule for Saturday, November 14:
    • 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Seabra Foods (208 Waverly St.), hand out flyers and hand sanitizers
    • 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Tesoros Supermarket (80 Hollis St.), hand out flyers and hand sanitizers
    • 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Business walk along Kendall St. to hand out flyers and distribute window signs and stacks of literature to businesses
    • 1:30-4:30 p.m.: Care kit drop at the final two floors of Halstead Condominiums (1610 Worcester Rd.) and Alta Union House (55 Concord St.). Organizers go door to door and leave a bag of educational materials, masks, and disinfectant wipes at each home.

Anticipated Schedule for Sunday, November 15:

  • 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Seabra Foods (208 Waverly St.), hand out flyers and hand sanitizers
  • 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Tesoros Supermarket (80 Hollis St.), hand out flyers and hand sanitizers
  • 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Business walk along Howard St. to hand out flyers and distribute window signs and stacks of literature to businesses
  • 1:30-4:30 p.m.: Care Kit Drops at Alta Union House (55 Concord St.)
