  • Since Friday, October 9, 67 residents have tested positive, 30 more have recovered, and the City learns of one new fatality associated with COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 2,434. With 2,107 recovered and 138 fatalities, Framingham currently has 189 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 171 residents in quarantine.

  • The majority of recent new positives are made up of people younger than 30 years old: Moreover, many families from the same household are being tested simultaneously, with each testing positive for COVID-19. The Framingham Public Health Department is providing enhanced wrap-around services so the families can better isolate in place. Those services include providing emergency food and connecting them with outside agencies that offer additional support services such as rental and fuel assistance programs.

  • The City's Department of Public Health distributes demographic COVID-19 data on all confirmed cases in Framingham since March 1, 2020: Data includes information on confirmed cases by age, gender, race/ethnicity, fatalities, nursing homes, and residential settings.
