Twenty-eight Additional Residents Test Positive, and 86 More have Recovered,
City Learns of Three New COVID-19 Related Fatalities;
Census 2020 Deadline Extended Due to the Pandemic

  • Twenty-eight additional residents test positive for COVID-19, 86 more people have recovered from the virus, and the City learns of three new COVID-19-related fatalities: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is now 1,493. With 708 cases recovered and 84 fatalities, Framingham currently has 701 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 250 residents in quarantine.

  • Census 2020 deadline has been extended to Oct. 31: Due to the pandemic, the Census 2020 deadline has been extended until Oct. 31. If you have not filled out your Census, please do so. It takes about ten minutes. The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and our community. Every year, billions of dollars in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data. You can log on here to fill out the Census.
