Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer was recently informed by Director of Public Works Peter Sellers of his intention to retire from his position with the City on March 17, 2020. Mr. Sellers has been the Framingham Director of Public Works for the past 18 years, and his retirement will close a 47-year career in public service.
“The Director of Public Works position provides important leadership to many of the City’s public service initiatives, and as such, we will endeavor to seek a qualified individual to assume this mission-critical role,” said Mayor Spicer. “I thank Peter for his many years of outstanding leadership to the Framingham community.”
The City will begin searching for a new Director in the coming weeks.
