The Massachusetts Department of Public Health Raises the Risk Level for EEE in Framingham from HIGH to CRITICAL

Tonight’s Back to School Picnic at Bowditch Field Will End at 6 p.m. Due to the Increased Risk Level

 

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has raised the risk level for EEE in Framingham from high to critical. EEE is a virus that can be spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. Residents are advised to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Wear long-sleeved clothing and socks and use appropriate insect repellents. Repair damaged windows and door screens and remove standing water from areas around your home. It is strongly recommended to refrain from outdoor activities from dusk to dawn when mosquito activity is at its highest.
