Framingham, MA – With flags flying at half-staff, the City of Framingham plans to honor the 41st President, George H.W. Bush, with 41 seconds of silence during the beginning of his memorial service at the National Cathedral in Washington DC at 11 a.m. EST tomorrow.

“President George H.W. Bush loved this country and always demonstrated the care and devotion he had for America in how he led,” said Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer. “He was an example of diplomacy at its finest, and many have learned from that example; hopefully others will now pick up his leadership mantle and do great things for our county.”

While the Federal Government, including the U.S. Postal Service, as well as the New York Stock Exchange, will be closed Wednesday, the City of Framingham will remain open along with other local governments.
