Permitting

Permit Applications

Most single-family homeowners proposing activities within 125-feet of a wetland or 200-feet of a perennial stream will require a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) or a Notice of Intent (NOI)

  • Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA)
This is for minor activities that will take place entirely within Buffer Zone and is unlikely to impact the associated resource area, both during or after construction. It is the simplest of the application processes, and most applicant's or contractors can complete the application without the assistance of a wetland consultant.
  • Notice of Intent (NOI)
This is for larger projects that involve work within close proximity to resource areas and are likely to result in impacts to the resource area. This is a more detailed permit application that may require professionally assistance, resource area delineations, surveyed plans, and engineering calculations.
