The Commission owns and maintains over 400 acres of protected land throughout Framingham that is open to the public for passive recreation. Some parcels are small and do not have trails, but 6 parcels are large and do have trails that are wonderful for hiking, cross-country skiing, bird watching, and other passive recreation.
Grants Used to Commission Report
The report below was commissioned by the Conservation and Open Space Division with grant money from the Massachusetts Audubon Society that came from the Nyanza Settlement.
It is a study of invasive aquatic plants presently chocking the ponded section of the Sudbury River from the Saxonville Dam upstream to the Fenwick Dam.
