Shared Van service within Framingham
The Callahan Center operates a 12 passenger van to transport Framingham residents over the age of 55 and disabled residents of any age to destinations within Framingham. This vehicle is wheelchair accessible. It operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and typically costs $2** per one way ride. Pre-registration is required by contacting the Callahan Center 508-532-5980.
During the time of COVID-19, face coverings and 6’ distancing are required. Sanitizing of high touch areas takes place regularly.
**During the time of COVID-19 the $2 fee is waived, thanks to generous funding from MWRTA.

Free Taxi rides within Framingham
The City of Framingham funds a taxi subsidy program to offer rides to senior residents of Framingham to destinations within Framingham. At least one week advance notice is required by contacting the Social Services Department at the Callahan Center, 508-532-5980.
Free Taxi rides beyond Framingham
Thanks to a grant of Older Americans Act funds, administered by BayPath Elder Services, free taxi service for Framingham residents 60 years old and older to destinations beyond Framingham’s borders is available while funds last. This can be to medical appointment in Boston medical area, visits to long term care facilities or other necessary destinations outside Framingham. At least one week advance notice is required by contacting the Social Services Department at the Callahan Center, 508-532-5980.
Volunteer assisted rides
