Framingham Cultural Council 2022 Grant Applications

The Framingham Cultural Council awards grants to private and public/municipal organizations, and individuals for cultural projects that benefit Framingham residents. Funds for these projects are made available from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) and from donations.

The Framingham Cultural Council Grant Requirements are shown on the Council Priorities tab on the webpage. Note that the program or project must be completed within the calendar year 2021. Get more information about the Local Cultural Council (LCC) programs online at the website.

Attend a grant workshop on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 7 p.m.

Our Role

In Massachusetts, public funding for the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences is provided through a central state agency - the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) - and through a network of Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) that serve every city and town in the state.

The LCCs award grants to support a broad range of cultural activities including field trips. The funds are awarded to a school, a town department, an organization, or an individual.

The Framingham LCC is responsible for making the final decisions on how to best serve the cultural needs of Framingham in selecting grant recipients and the amount of each grant.

Members of the Cultural Council

New members of the Framingham LCC are appointed by the Mayor for a term of 1, 2, or 3 years. Members may be re-appointed but cannot serve for more than 6 consecutive years. Meetings are held monthly on Wednesday evenings.
