Introduction
to Browsing
the On-line Archive
The Browse capability enables a web user to
browse through folders and documents and select a document to read or
download. Where possible documents have
been OCR’d to provide a text equivalent to facilitate searching and enable read
aloud for ADA
compliance.
An OCR’d document can be converted to .pdf for
downloading; however, the time it takes can be significant depending upon the
nature and size of the document. At the
discretion of the poster, a .pdf equivalent may also be stored. In this case choose the .pdf version for
download.
In other cases because of the nature of the document
content only the .pdf version is provided.
Examples include: scanned
documents, documents with images, some presentations or financial spreadsheets
that are not suitable for OCR.
