Each fiscal year, the EDIC develops a work plan of projects to complete in support of existing economic development plans.
Projects are completed with assistance from Community & Economic Development (C&ED) personnel. Recent projects include:
The EDIC created the Framingham Downtown Renaissance (FDR) in 2003 to increase awareness of the potential of the downtown. It includes institutions, businesses, government, residents and local community groups. FDR is now a non-profit entity, but works closely with the C&ED Division and the EDIC.
