LIFT Public Transit System

As of July 1, 2007 the LIFT Public Transit System is no longer run by the Town of Framingham. A new entity, the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA), now operates the LIFT system.

There are no pending changes to LIFT routes or schedules as a result of this transition. MWRTA customer service can now be reached by calling (888) 996-9782 or visit MWRTA online.


Commuter Parking
The Town of Framingham maintains four parking options in the downtown area.
  1. The Pearl Street garage is across from the Registry of Motor Vehicles. A monthly resident permit is $65 per month; monthly non-resident is $80 per month.
  2. The Hollis Court lot is in the rear of the Store 24, is a daily lot, and is $4 per day.
  3. The Waverly Street commuter lot is directly across the street from the train station and is $90 per month.
  4. Parking meters throughout the downtown area are two hours only and cost $.25 per hour.
