Transportation
Overview
The Community and Economic Development Division oversees long-range, multi-modal transportation planning for the Town in addition to managing a variety of transportation projects.

The Department views the availability of efficient and comfortable transportation options as an integral piece of sensible growth and quality of life for the Town. In order to assist with the improvement of transportation resources, the Department:
  • Staffs the Downtown Railroad Crossing Advisory Committee 
  • Provides transportation-related input on proposed developments
  • Manages a number of grants and state funding for transportation enhancements throughout Framingham
  • Works with Public Works to identify key areas for transportation enhancement.
