August 26, 2016 - June 30, 2017 @ School District Calendar
June 11, 2017, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Front steps of Memorial Building
The Massachusetts Legislature passed the Race Amity Day Bill (H 2745, Chapter 163 of Acts of 2015), which was signed into law by Governor Charlie Baker in February 2016. This law encourages cities and towns all over Massachusetts to commemorate Race Amity Day on the second Sunday of June. The Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Framingham is sponsoring a Race Amity Day commemoration this Sunday, June 11th, at 3pm. All are invited and the event is free.
From the front steps of Memorial Hall, we will read the Race Amity Day Proclamation, offering speeches in the spirit of the law, which recognizes that "the people of the Commonwealth are its greatest asset," and honoring the multicultural, multiethnic, and multiracial character of our communities by encouraging friendship, collegiality, civility, respect, and kindness as commonly shared ideals. The Town of Framingham is a uniquely diverse community in Massachusetts. We hope that people of all backgrounds will join us.

Fireseed is in the Saxonville Industrial Park. We will have ample signage as well as people helping you park and find the venue.
Sponsored by Transition Framingham, "Green Framingham United" will bring together like-minded people that are playing a part in making Framingham more sustainable and resilient. The main goal is to get these people together to share ideas, build connections and just have a good time :)
There are a lot of community and environmentally focused organizations and individuals in our town, and we believe we can achieve significantly more if we knew each other better. There will be short presentations by a number of these organizations in town with ample time for mingling and networking.
Refreshments will be served.
