Irrigation Installation Services at Anna Murphy Park

The Town of Framingham is soliciting quotes for the installation of an irrigation system at Anna Murphy Park Baseball Field on Cove Road.  The following is a list of specs that must be met and provided to comply with this request:  

1. Contractor to supply all materials and perform installation of an irrigation system at Anna Murphy Park Baseball Field on Cove Road.
2. The Town will be responsible for providing water, back flow, electricity and enclosure, as needed for successful operation of the irrigation system.
3. The Town will top dress and seed any trench lines.  Contractor is responsible for removal of all excess rock and materials once trenches have been backfilled to field height.
4. The irrigation system will be designed to have components allowing future expansions beyond the baseball field that may be conducted during a second phase.
5. The system will be trenched or pulled to a depth of 18 inches.
6. Contractor to provide a Baseline Control System, using Baseline Wi-Fi Module, flow meter, and moisture sensor only.  
7. All irrigation heads to be Hunter I 25 and I 20 only.
8. The irrigation system will be designed for a 200 foot home run radius.
9. There will be separate zones for infield grass and infield clay.  A design will need to be provided to Parks staff for review and approval prior to installation.
10. A site map of Anna Murphy Park identifying the location for installation is attached for reference.
Request for Quote
1. This is a request for quotes, not a bid.  The contract will be awarded to the lowest and responsive vendor.  The awarded contractor will also be required to enter into the short form agreement with the Town of Framingham. (See attached)  Please read this contract before submitting your quote as you will have to adhere to all the requirements within the contract. Including insurance. Quote documents will be available on Wednesday Nov 1, 2017 after 10:00 A.M. to request a copy of the quote documents, and price sheet please contact

2. All quotes are due on Thursday November 16, 2017 by 1:00 P.M. Please submit your quote to the Town of Framingham 150 Concord Street Purchasing Department Room, #123 or .  Quotes can be submitted by email, or regular mail.
3. Quote price sheet should be included in submittal.  All pricing must be valid for 90 days.
4. Estimated cost of project is $20,000.
5. Prevailing wage must be used (see attached).
