The following is a Traffic Alert Issued by the Town of Framingham Department of Public Works for week ending September 19, 2014.
Bethany RoadContractors will continue working on water and sewer line replacement. Bethany Road will be closed to through traffic Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM. Please seek alternate route. NIGHT TIME: Monday, September 15-Friday, September 19, from 7:00PM until 5:00AM at Waverly Street and Bethany Road. Detours will be utilized when necessary. Police details will be on-site.
Central Street Bridge Deck Repairs at Edgell RoadContractors will continue repair work on the bridge. Two way traffic will be maintained.Work zone will shift from the north side of the bridge to the south side of the bridge during the week. Impact should be minimal.
Cochituate Rail Trail MassDOT contractors will continue bike trail construction.Please use caution on the trail.
Concord Street Conduit and SidewalksBeginning at Route 9 and traveling south on Concord Street to Hartford Street, contractors will be digging and installing conduit. Moderate traffic and pedestrian impact during construction.
Eaton, Chalis, Nob Hill Roadway RestorationThe Framingham DPW will finish paving Monday, September 15, 2014 weather permitting. Expect delays.
Indian Head RoadThe Framingham DPW will begin driveway apron adjustments and traffic markings. Expect delays.
Mellen Street and Winthrop StreetContractors will continue work on Mellen Street and will be utilizing a one-lane, alternating traffic pattern during curbing and sidewalk work. Detours may be in place. Expect delays on Mellen Street and Winthrop Street and surrounding areas.
Route 9 Bridge near Country Club LaneMassDOT Contractors will continue work on this project. Two lanes in each direction will be maintained. Expect delays on Route 9 between Temple Street and the Massachusetts Turnpike.
Saxonville-Concord Street between 'A' Street and School StreetNIGHT TIME: Contractors will finish paving Sunday night, September 14th, weather permitting, from 8:00PM until 5:00AM. Detours will be in place. Expect delays. DAYTIME: NSTAR and contractors will be working during the day. Expect delays.
Winter Street Bridge over CSXNSTAR and other utility relocations will continue in the vicinity of the bridge. Minimal traffic impact.
Police detail officers will be on site to assist in the facilitation of traffic flow and to assist with emergency response. Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Thank you for your understanding and support.
