Framingham, MA- After a complete and thorough review of applications and performing interviews from a pool of six candidates, consisting of three females and three males representing Districts 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has selected the two applicants she plans to propose to the City Council for review and approval. Applicants are required to live in Framingham, have a diverse background that demonstrates experience in land use activities and an understanding of zoning, and possess the ability to work collaboratively in all size groups and with the public. The Framingham Planning Board is a land use and regulatory board within the City of Framingham. The Planning Board is responsible for, but not limited to the following activities:
Pursuant to Article II, Section 10(c) of the Charter, the appointments become effective upon the Council’s vote to affirm (or thirty days after notice of the proposed appointment is filed with the clerk), and after the new members are sworn into office. Upon approval, they will each serve a three year term expiring on April 6, 2021.
