The Community and Economic Development Division is responsible for administering the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs.

The funds received through these programs makes possible a number of community development and housing assistance programs and activities.

Request for Proposals 
The Community Development Department will be accepting proposals for the use of FY2017 Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funds from interested parties beginning October 23, 2015. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is the first phase of the application process for agencies interested in applying for funding for projects which begin implementation on July 1, 2016.

Different from the previous year, all sub-grantees will be required to show proof (a print screen) of registration on the Federal System for Award Management ( In order to register, applicants will also need a DUNS number. If you do not have a DUNS number, you can register with Dun & Bradstreet at and you will be issued one.

Applications must be submitted to the Community Development Office no later than 4pm on Friday, December 18, 2015.
