Interchange 12 Sewer Force Main Alignment

This project will increase the existing interceptor sewer capacity by approximately 3 million gallons per day and eliminate the most significantly undersized sewer section downstream of Framingham Technology Park. This will enable projected future growth in the area.

The project will extend and upgrade the towns existing sewer collection system by installing approximately 4,600 linear feet of new interceptor sewer parallel to the CSX railway between Temple Street and Salem End Road.

Using the railway corridor will minimize disruption the residents and businesses while achieving the projects objectives. The project will include approximately 2500 linear feet of trenchless pipe construction, including crossings at the CSX railway crossing, Route 9 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Roadway improvements at the intersection of Salem End Road and Maynard Road will also be included in the project.

The current schedule for construction is the summer of 2017.
