FRAMINGHAM CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC ALERT FOR THE WEEK OF October 24-28, 2016. (Construction schedules are weather permitting.)
ARLINGTON STREET: Installation of a new gas main and services. Work is Monday through Friday (and Saturday, October 22, 2016). Expect parking restrictions and moderate delays.
BLANDIN AVENUE: Installation of granite curbing and sidewalks will continue. Milling of the roadway late week. Expect moderate delays.
CHERRY STREET/CUNNINGHAM DRIVE: Excavation for new drainage improvements. Minor delays.
CONCORD STREET: Installation of a new gas main between Corregidor Road and the Route 9 off-ramp. Expect moderate delays.
CONCORD STREET/HOLLIS STREET/DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: Work on traffic signal activation and landscaping will continue during the day. Crosswalk installation will take place in the overnight hours. Expect minor delays.
ELMFIELD ROAD AND GRIFFIN ROAD: Installation of a new water main and services. Detours will be in place. Expect minor delays.
FOSS ROAD: Installation of a new sewer main and services. Expect moderate delays.
FOUNTAIN STREET AT WINTER STREET: Installation of new water services. Expect moderate delays.
MEADOW STREET: Installation of a new water main will continue. Expect moderate delays.
MWRTA COMMUTER LOT: Survey work and drainage inspections will begin in advance of construction.
PEARL STREET, SANGER STREET AND THOMPSON STREET: Drainage improvements will continue. Expect minor delays.
ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Construction continues in the middle section of the bridge. Expect moderate delays.
SPEEN STREET: Installation of a new water main. A detour will be in effect part of the week from 9:00AM through 3:00PM, from Leggitt McCall Connector Road to Cochituate Road. Overnight work on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Expect delays.
UNION AVENUE: A detour is in effect on Union Avenue between Main Street and Mount Wayte Avenue, 7 days a week. Expect delays. Allow extra travel time.
WINTER STREET: Installation of a new gas main on Winter Street from Salem End Road northbound to Route 9. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized and police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Work is Monday through Friday (and Saturday, October 22, 2016.). Expect delays.
