FRAMINGHAM CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC ALERT FOR THE WEEK OF August 1-5, 2016 (Construction schedules are weather permitting.)

ARLINGTON STREET: The Eversource contractor will install a new gas main and services. Expect parking restrictions and moderate delays.

BEACON STREET: The Eversource contractor will install a new gas main on Beacon Street from Cochituate Road to Chubb Road. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized and police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Expect delays.

BEAVER STREET AND KENDALL AVENUE: Sidewalk work will continue.  Expect delays.

CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION:  The contractor will continue raising utility structures in the roadway in preparation of final paving on Union Avenue and Concord Street. Electrical contractors will be working on traffic loops and lights. Parking restrictions will be in effect when/where necessary. Expect delays.

In the overnight hours of Wednesday, August 3rd and Thursday, August 4th, trench restoration will be performed on Hollis Street between Claflin Street and Hollis Court.

DANFORTH STREET AREA:  Paving and raising utility structures will take place on Danforth Street (from the bridge to Concord Street), Kings Court and Mechanic Street.  Expect moderate delays.

DYER STREET: Utility structures will be raised in preparation for final paving. Expect moderate delays.

FOUNTAIN STREET: Consultants will perform pavement and soil investigations in Fountain between Winter Street and Dudley Road.. Expect minor delays.

MOUNT WAYTE BRIDGE OVER CSX RAILROAD: MassDOT contractors will continue roadway work in the overnight hours from 7:00PM to 5:00AM. Expect moderate delays.

ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET:  Construction continues on the southern section of the bridge. Expect moderate delays. 

ROUTE 9 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE NEAR FRAMINGHAM STATE UNIVERSITY:  MassDOT has closed the bridge for structural repairs. Pedestrians must utilize the Edgell Road Bridge to cross Rt. 9.

UNION AVENUE: Contractors will be setting up a work zone in the area of the Sudbury River Bridge off the roadway at Bowditch Field. Expect moderate delays.

WINTER STREET: Eversource will be installing a new gas main on Winter Street from the MWRA Bridge northbound. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized and police details will be onsite to facilitate traffic. Expect delays.

WORCESTER ROAD (Between Route 126 and the Natick Town Line): Contractors will be surveying and conducting borings in advance of water and sewer construction in the area. Expect minor delays.
