Cable Advisory Committee

The 5 member Cable Advisory Committee is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to ensure that the provisions of the town's 3 cable television contracts are implemented. The committee serves as a liaison between cable customers and the cable companies, and provides feedback and acts in an advisory capacity to the selectmen and town manager for issues that may require direct intervention of town administration.

The Cable Advisory Committee acts as an ombudsman for town citizens on matters unresolved regarding billing errors and persistent repair problems on cable TV. Framingham currently provides cable franchise licenses to Comcast, RCN, and Verizon. Satellite television providers are not required to have a license.
