Board of Selectmen

The Board of Selectmen are the policy-making body of the town and also act as the licensing authority for various licenses such as Alcohol and Common Victualer. The Selectmen also make appointments to various Town boards, committees, and commissions.

Our town will become recognized as a leader among municipalities across the commonwealth in being responsive to the challenges of the 21st Century and a wonderful place to live, play, work, and to do business.

Our Community


Our town will have a strong sense of community with vibrant unique neighborhoods, where participation is encouraged, an open and communicative government is promoted, diversity is cherished, human differences are respected, elderly concerns are recognized, and being socially responsible without overburdening our town’s finite resources.

Security


Our town shall strive to ensure a sense of security by providing excellent public safety and public works, strong financial health, a well-managed town government with long-range planning and 1 that encourages a healthy business sector.

Pride


Our town will foster a sense of pride by placing a high priority on quality education, neighborhood parks, arts and culture and its library system, and 1 that values and promotes a clean and beautiful town.

2016 Team Framingham Marathon Fundraiser Charities

The following six local organizations were selected by the members of the Board of Selectmen and the Chief of Police to participate in the Team Framingham fundraising for the 2016 Boston Marathon:
